I so, so love this beautiful wedding cake table I created for Sarah and John last Saturday at Hotel Van Dyk, it’s so soft and pretty with a touch of elegant shimmer. How amazing is the sequin table cloth!? I LOVE a sparkly table cloth! (I am easily pleased when it comes to cake tables!!)
I designed this lovely 2 tier wedding cake with Sarah which comprises of a ruffley ivory base tier and a pearlised platinum top tier to match the bridesmaid dresses, an edible sequin band around the top tier, blush and ivory sugar roses and 2 lovely lovebirds on top in pewter and blush. Tiers of gluten avoided Salted Caramel and Rich Brandied Fruit Cake.
Also a yummy array of Strawberry & Champagne and Very Berry cupcakes with lots of little sugar flowers on and I Do signs with dusky pink bows and decadent Chocolate Mud cake pops in blush and ivory.
All set up on lots of my lovely pedestal cake stands.

I so, so adore this design that we came up with together in our appointment. Both mums were also in tow to be chief cake tasters and helped to come up with such a beautiful and elegant wedding cake design.
Piped lace border bottom tier and piped lace middle tier to match Kerry’s beautiful Morilee UK wedding dress. Sugar roses, lisanthius, freesias, spray roses and delphiniums to match Kerry’s bouquet fromValerie of Dore Florist in a band around the middle tier with piped pearls. Posy of more sugar flowers on top of the cake with some cascading down the sides and ribbon to match the wedding colours.
Tiers of salted caramel, zesty lemon & lime, madagascan vanilla and another salted caramel on top for the couple to take home and enjoy!

This week has been so busy that I haven’t had time yet to share Melissa and Andy’s beautiful wedding cake from last Saturday at Peak Edge Hotel at The Red Lion
We designed a stunning 3 tier wedding cake with hand piped pearls, sugar lace and a beautiful cascade of ombre sugar roses going from ivory to blush pink. Pretty little sugar butterflies also dotted around the cake with light blush dusted wings.
Tiers of Madagascan Vanilla, Strawberry and Champagne and Very Berry with an extra large cutting cake for the kicthen in rich Chocolate Mud.

I’ve been so excited about sharing this BEAUTIFUL cake that I created for Lauren and Carl’s wedding yesterday at East Lodge Hotel that I even went to bed early last night to make the morning come faster!!
Lilac and ivory tiers, piped lace, purple butterflies, lilac roses, purple roses, blush roses, lavender, plum filler flowers and eucalyptus.
Tiers of Salted Caramel, Zesty Lemon & Lime and Strawberry & Champagne. The couple love cake so much that they saved 1/4 of each tier to take on honeymoon with them. I’ll be thinking of you both scoffing cake in your log cabin over looking the lake in the sunshine! Can’t wait to see the photos of your big day.
Another reason I love working with the wonderful Kerry of Tineke Floral Designs Limited (apart from the fact you will have stunning fresh amazing bouquets for your day) is that as soon as she has finished making the bouquet the night before she will send me a photo so that I can check I have matched the flowers perfectly in sugar. In this instance I hadn’t made any of the eucalyptus at that point which adds so much to this design 🙂
