Buttercream Wedding Cake with Navy Butterflies and Sugar Flowers

Last Saturday I created this beautiful rustic buttercream wedding cake for Kirsty and Matthew at Peak Edge Hotel.

The couple opted for a yummy buttercream finish to the wedding cake with a thick palette ribbed effect and small posies of sugar flowers to compliment to bouquets, freesias, blossoms and hydrangeas in shades of ivory and blue, cute navy sugar butterflies with lustred shimmering wings dotted around the cake complimented the couple’s colour scheme with a hessian and navy ribbon over lay on the base tier.

Tiers of Red Velvet with vanilla pod buttercream, Zesty lemon and lime with lemon drizzle syrup, lemon curd and lemon and lime buttercream and Strawberry and champagne with champagne drizzle syrup, strawberry preserve and vanilla pod buttercream.

It was such a gorgeously sunny autumnal day and I can’t wait to see the professional snaps!xx

Autumn Cascade Wedding Cake

Tonight I get to share Anna and Rich’s stunning wedding cake from their wedding on Saturday at Hassop Hall

Anna’s lovely mum Judith bought their wedding cake for the couple and in our appointment told me that she completely trusted me design wise as she loved everything and to come up with a surprise for everyone on the big day incorporating hand piped lace and an autumn leaf cascade including their wedding colours of red, orange and navy. Bottom and top tier have piped lace borders, middle tier completely covered in piped lace, with gorgeous sugar autumn leaves. I hope you all loved it

Tiers of zesty lemon and lime, red velvet and rich brandied fruit cake, they also had an extra fruit cake for the kitchen to serve all their wedding guests which is always a fab way of having enough cake for everyone but more cost friendly as it’s just plain iced.

Fresh flower topper positioned in place at the venue by Darling Buds of Baslow, I love the fullness of this posy it works so well with the design

The bride and brides mother sent me some heart warming and amazing lovely feedback – this is what makes my job AMAZING —

“Thank you for the most unbelievable and beautiful cake. Everyone commented on how fantastic it was and it looked so beautiful in the ball room along with all the beautiful flowers. You’re so very talented and I will most definitely be recommending you. Thank you. Warmest regards. Anna xx”

“Hi Rose

Thank you so much for all your hard work, patience & understanding, not to mention your incredible skill.
Everyone, including me was completely gobsmacked! It looked amazing.

Once again, huge thanks, it was simply wonderful. Judith x”

Naked Wedding Cake

Oh my gosh, naked wedding cakes always look so deliciously yummy like you could just dive straight in, right?! Lauren and Ben’s lovely naked wedding cake for their wedding on Saturday at Aston Hall Hotel ticked all the right boxes in the yumminess scales 🙂

3 tiers of madagascan vanilla, strawberry and champagne and zesty lemon and lime (you really can have different flavours in your naked wedding cake and it won’t affect the over all look/bake of the cake)

Decorated with fresh cherries, strawberries, raspberries and a few blueberries with bunches of fresh gypsophila.

Lauren and Ben had a whole heap of my awesome wedding mates creating their dream wedding day including : Marie Anson Photography capturing the day so beautifully, Jj Flowers with on point bouquets as always, Precious Bridal Rooms for Lauren’s stunning wedding dress and Gracie Bleu Bridal for Ben’s sharp suit and Weddings by Dragonfly for all their stationary needs

I hope you both had the most amazing day of your lives and I’m loving the photos I’ve seen so far from Marie 🙂 xx

Purple Lace and Pearl Wedding Cake

This time last week I delivered this absolutely gorgeous wedding cake to Ashbourne Hall for Amanda and Julian’s wedding day.
3 tiers decorated in my classic Lace & Pearl design with cadbury purple ribbons, a ribbon bow with vintage brooch and beautiful fresh flowers from the talented Riverbank Floristry
Tiers of zesty lemon & lime, red velvet and indulgent carrot cake, the couple also had an extra 10″ cutting cake in salted caramel and yummy chocolate mud cake pops for the kids. Apparently all of the cake went down a storm and the couple were enjoying slices for days after with friends and family who dropped in.
Delicious catering by Saffron Catering on the day too for anyone looking for top notch food for their guests.
Amanda and Julian are such a lovely, warm and happy couple who truly made the whole process a joy to create their special cake. I hope you are having an absolutely amazing adventure in Iceland at the moment, much love xx

Elegant Mocha Pearl Wedding Cake

I can’t believe it has been almost a week since I created this beautiful wedding cake for Hannah and Steve at The Maynard last Friday – time has just flown in August so sorry for the late share.

We came up with this lovely, pretty and elegant design together in our appointment. Staggered piped pearls on the top and bottom tier and drop piped pearls on the middle tier with mocha ribbons around the tiers to tie in with the bridesmaids dresses. Hannah’s friend had made her a bride topper for the cake too and a groom one in Ste’s beloved Sheffield United football shirt for his 3 tier pork pie cake!

Flavours of zesty lemon and lime, chocolate mud and indulgent carrot cake.

I hope you both had the best day ever, can’t wait to see the professional snaps from the talented John Mottershaw Photography xx

“Rose, I’m so sorry it’s taken so long to say thank you- I came straight back from Honeymoon and started a new job the next day. It’s been a crazy busy few months!!
Soooo THANK YOU SO MUCH!! The cake was absolutely delicious!! The comments from people were amazing and so many people asked me to pass on their praise. The cake was so simple and elegant which was exactly what we wanted. I’ve attached some pictures along side our pork pie cake too!!
We had the most amazing day and you contributed to this by being so brilliant. I therefore had no problems with filling in your competition form with the most amazing feeback you’ve ever seen!! I’ve got my fingers crossed for you- there’s nobody more deserving.
Thank you again. I’m passing on your details to everybody & anybody, hope this is ok!”

Platinum and Blush Wedding Cake Table

I so, so love this beautiful wedding cake table I created for Sarah and John last Saturday at Hotel Van Dyk, it’s so soft and pretty with a touch of elegant shimmer. How amazing is the sequin table cloth!? I LOVE a sparkly table cloth! (I am easily pleased when it comes to cake tables!!)

I designed this lovely 2 tier wedding cake with Sarah which comprises of a ruffley ivory base tier and a pearlised platinum top tier to match the bridesmaid dresses, an edible sequin band around the top tier, blush and ivory sugar roses and 2 lovely lovebirds on top in pewter and blush. Tiers of gluten avoided Salted Caramel and Rich Brandied Fruit Cake.

Also a yummy array of Strawberry & Champagne and Very Berry cupcakes with lots of little sugar flowers on and I Do signs with dusky pink bows and decadent Chocolate Mud cake pops in blush and ivory.
All set up on lots of my lovely pedestal cake stands.

I hope you both had the best day ever with your friends and family.xx

Elegant Lace and Pearl Wedding Cake

Good evening cake lovers! Happy Wednesday!.. If tonight’s beautiful cake photo share from the lovely Jenna and Matt’s wedding at Ringwood Hall Hotellast Saturday doesn’t get you over ‘hump day’ then nothing will!

I always absolutely love how elegant, timelessly sophisticated and stunning an all in ivory wedding cake looks and this beautiful cake design that Jenna, Matt and I came up with for their wedding on Saturday is no exception.

3 tiers in my classic Lace and Pearls design, with a side posy of ivory sugar roses and filler flowers, a large ivory bow with a diamante and pearl brooch to the side and a sparkly diamante and pearl “M&J” topper that the couple can keep. (They did actually have a navy ribbon around the board to tie in the bridesmaids colours, but I only clocked that on their notes after I’d taken the photos! A lovely subtle nod to the colour scheme without detracting from the design)

Tiers of salted caramel, chocolate mud and madagascan vanilla.

Can’t wait to see the professional shots from the day, cutting of the cake and Jenna’s beautiful dress from my buddies at Gracie Bleu Bridal xx
